Where the elevation difference of <br /> the ground surface exceeds twenty-eight (28) <br /> | | inches in any direction within the Soil Treatment <br /> System and a distribution box cannot be used as <br /> , <br /> specified in 404 '08, 1 . A ' , a drop box shall be <br /> installed at the inlet end of each distribution <br /> line as follows: <br /> ( 1 ) Connections .between drop boxes shall be by <br /> watertight piping . <br /> (2) The drop box shall be watertight and <br /> constructed of durable materials not subject <br /> to excessive corrosion or decay. <br /> (3) The invert of the inlet pipe shall be a <br /> minimum of one ( 1 ) inch above the invert of <br /> the outlet pipe leading to the next trench. <br /> (4) The invert of the outlet pipe leading to the <br /> next trench shall be a minimum of two (2) <br /> inches above the invert of the outlet pipe to <br /> 'the trench served -by 'the box . <br /> ( 5) When the sewage effluent is delivered to the <br /> box by a pump, the discharge shall be directed <br /> � - against a wall or side of the box on which <br /> there is no outlet. <br />� ^ <br /> (2) Pressure Distribution. Where required, pressure <br /> distribution of Sewage effluent shall be as follows: <br /> a. Pressure distribution laterals shall be sized as <br /> shown in Table I . <br /> b. Laterals shall be spaced no further than twenty <br /> (20) inches from a trench or a bed wall . <br /> c . Laterals shall be spaced no further than forty <br /> (40) inches apart. <br /> d . Laterals shall be connected to a manifold or <br /> header pipe of two (2) inch diameter or as <br /> required by design of pipe from pump and inlet <br /> position . <br /> e. Laterals and manifold shall be installed so as to <br /> drain completely after every dosing . <br /> ! <br /> 19 <br /> 2 <br />
