Sewage osmosis shall be considered for use only in <br /> clay soils having percolation rate slower than <br /> sixty (60) minutes per inch. <br /> c . Water use metering shall be installed in <br /> conjunction with all osmosis systems. <br /> d . The Permitting Authority shall be provided right <br /> of access to perform periodic maintenance and <br /> operational inspections of the system. <br /> 502.05. Sewage Holding Tanks. If approved by the City Council <br /> Sewage Holding Tanks may be considered for installation on previously <br /> developed sites, as a temporary method for periods of up to one ( 1 ) <br /> year, during which time measures are being taken to provide municipal <br /> sewer service or the installation of an approved alternative system <br /> as provided in this Ordinance. <br /> ( 1 ) Design ..and installation . <br /> a. A Sewage Holding Tank shall be constructed and <br /> installed as specified in this Ordinance for <br /> Sewage Tanks. � <br /> b. Holding Tanks shall be located as required for <br /> Sewage Tanks, Table IV, and at locations readily <br /> accessible by normal pumping equipment. <br /> c . Holding Tanks shall be provided with a clean-out <br /> pipe of six (6) inch minimum diameter extending to <br /> or above the ground surface, capped or sealed to <br /> prevent odors and inflow of surface water. <br /> d . Holding Tanks shall be provided with a manhole of <br /> twenty (20) inch minimum least dimension to within <br /> a minimum of twelve ( 12) inches below finished <br /> grade' Covers shall be secured to prevent <br /> unauthorized entry. <br /> e. When installed in areas of high ground water, <br /> within six (6) feet of the ground surface, Holding <br /> Tanks shall be installed entirely above the ground <br /> water level or shall be installed according to an <br /> engineer' s design to prevent flotation . <br /> �! <br /> 36 <br /> A <br />
