<br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seconded by LaValle, to approve the
<br /> Work Experience Program from Washington County for a six
<br /> week program at $2.30 per hour for a thirty-two hour week.

<br /> 6.1 ORDINANCE COMMITTEE
<br /> Smith reported first draft is completed on the Septic System Or-
<br /> dinance - Attorney passed out copies of Driveway Ordinance - noted
<br /> that if existing driveways are problem regarding excessive erosion,
<br /> traffic, etc. they can be declared a nuisance - person charged and
<br /> billed on their taxes, when city repairs.
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve
<br /> Ordinance No. 1976-131 , an ordinance amending Chapter 110,
<br /> of the Hugo City Code, entitled, Fire Prevention and Pro-
<br /> tection, to prohibit open burning, eliminate fire wardens,
<br /> and adopt pollution control agency regulations by reference.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith.

<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Lease, to deny the request
<br /> of the Planning Commission to amend Chapter 240 of the City
<br /> Code, Chapter 240-4 titled Vacancies.

<br /> Building Inspector's report accepted.
<br /> 6.5 FIRE CHIEF
<br /> Presented report - wants authorization to bill the Soo Line Railroad
<br /> for 1 ,500 gallons of water delivered to their railroad crew - also
<br /> to bill Soo Line for five hours fire fighting railroad fire near
<br /> Withrow. Clerk and Fire Chief instructed to send bill for $25 for
<br /> water and a separate bill for fire fighting.
<br /> Annual Fire Righter's Convention to be held at Morris on June 17
<br /> thru 19th - would like authorization to send two members.
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux, to authorize the
<br /> sending of two men to Morris, Minnesota for the Annual
<br /> Fire Fighter's Convention on June 17th: thru 19th, 1976,
<br /> and authorize payment of the registration fee, and mileage;
<br /> also two nights lodging and meals, not to exceed $30 per
<br /> day per person.
