The county to erect appropriate sign on Peloquin <br /> road and Mugg's subdivision. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 8.2 Lighting — 147th. 148th and Freeland <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that the City of Hugo <br /> write Frank Graham, NSP, authorizing the installation of lights on <br /> 147th and Freeland, and 148th and Freeland, Locations as discussed <br /> in the field. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 8.3 Recommendation from Planning Commission for rumble strips. and or. a caution <br /> light on 170th Street and Highwav 61., <br /> LaValle stated that the state and county are reluctant to do anything on 170th and <br /> Highway 61. LaValle thought there was no installation being made of blinking lights. <br /> Kuusisto stated that there has been no maintaining of rumble strips. Schletty has <br /> talked to Mr. Bennet, Anoka Electric, and they will work with the existing poles on <br /> the west side of the highway. Anoka thought a 175 watt light (mercury vapor) would <br /> sufficient lighting. They will not install a high pressure sodium light because they <br /> would have to set up a whole new program for one light. Mr. Spitzer is now in charge <br /> of the light project on 170th and Highway 61. Matter to be placed on May 16th agenda. <br /> LaValle suggested the city write the Washington County Highway Department asking <br /> them if they have considered any further precautions or any design changes in re— <br /> gard to 170th and Highway 61. <br /> 9.0 MISCELLANEOUS <br /> A petition was received for a sewer study to be done on Ethan Avenue.North in Oak <br /> Shore Park along the east side of Bald Eagle Lake. Howard Kuusisto will look at, <br /> and give a report at the next City Council meeting, May 2, 1977. <br />
