<br /> Fire Chief, Jim Olson, stated that six coats have to be replaced ($94.50 ea) along
<br /> with two pairs of boots ($37.50/pair .
<br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to authorize the Fire Department
<br /> to purchase personal fire equipment in an amount not to exceed $700.00.

<br /> 8.0 NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 8.1 Lions Club - Electrical Hook-up
<br /> Mr. Craig Thaemert was present requesting permission to install 100 amp service for the
<br /> Lian's Club building located by City Hall. He requested that the meter be put in the
<br /> city's name. Schletty suggested that when the building is dedicated to the city, then
<br /> change the meter to the city's name. Lion's Club should incur the cost year around
<br /> until arrangements is made.
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the Lion's Club be given
<br /> permission by the City of Hugo to install an electrical service in their
<br /> name and their expense in the existing building.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail.
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> Mr. Carl Nordquist inquired if the restrooms located in City Hall would be available
<br /> the Wednesday and Thursday prior to Good Neighbor Days, for use by the carnival people.
<br /> Schletty stated that there was quite a mess when they were opened to the public in pre-
<br /> vious years.
<br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the restrooms in City
<br /> Hall should not be opened during Good Neighbor Days for public use.

<br /> 8.2 Mr. Burkard - Insulating pipes
<br /> Mr. Burkard requested that this matter be held over until the next meeting of June 6, 1977.
<br /> 9.0 MISCELLANEOUS
<br /> Mrs. Ken Wanned submitted a letter requesting the possibility of installing a 4-way stop
<br /> at the intersection of 148th and Foxhill. There are children in the afternoon kindergarten
<br /> class, and they have to cross the street unassisted. Mr. Vail directed to contact the
<br /> principal to see if we can delegate school patrol for the rest of the year.
<br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the petition from Oak Shore
<br /> Park for sanitary sewer study be accepted by the city.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail.

<br /> The contract with Washington County Highway Department has been extended for 30 days.
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer, made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the city give the Legion
<br /> $30.00 for Legionville.

<br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to grant the renewal of the Mobile
<br /> Home Permit for Joseph Gregoire, 7600 - 165th Street North, Hugo, under
<br /> Chapter 40, Article III, Subidivision D. for ninety days.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail.

<br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the city establish an oil pro-
<br /> gram. Clerk directed to publish the notice in the paper. Home owner to
<br /> defray cost of the oiling.

<br /> Mr. Schletty received a letter from Barton Contracting stating their position in re-
<br /> lation to the gravel pit. Mr. Kuusisto was directed to take an inventory at the pit, and
<br /> report on the status of their price quotation to us.
