Mr. Aplikowski is <br /> also to be informed of the procedure for securing a Special <br /> Use Permit. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission <br /> The Planning Commission secretary was instructed to check the commission's <br /> bylaws in regard to how many meetings a member can miss. <br /> 6.3 Water •Superintendent <br /> Mr. Jerry Aljets, McCarthy well Company, was present stating that it was <br /> their feeling that the underground pump be inspected in the near future. <br /> The above ground unit was checked, but they cannot determine problems <br /> underground unless the pump is removed. The pump was last checked in <br /> 1971 , and should be checked every 5-7 years. Mr. Kuusisto agreed that <br /> this was reasonable. The cost of the project could range from $2,000 - <br /> $4,000. Mayor LaValle felt that this cost figure should be included in the <br /> budget. Mr. Burkard, Water Superintendent, is to be asked to be present <br /> at the next meeting of February 21 , 1978 to discuss the feasibility and <br /> necessity of the project. <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever presented his monthly report. He stated that he has received <br /> applications from Jim & Harold Bramstedt to build a pole barn. Mr. Crever <br /> did not feel he has all the information to issue the permit (roads, <br /> driveways, etc.) . <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer that the applic- <br /> tions from Jim & Harold Bramstedt be referred back to them <br /> by the Building Ispector. Application needs proper infor- <br /> mation to deal with Farm Site Plan. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mr. Johnson will investigate the new legislation that will go into effect <br /> July 1 , 1978, regarding insurance cotering contractors guaranteeing houses. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief <br /> Mr. Richard Vail, Fire Chief, was present and stated the department's <br /> need for new equipment. He would like to purchase six pagers at a cost <br /> of $900, a coupling for $63, and 8" saw for $185.00. Mayor LaValle <br /> told Mr. Vail he would have to wait until June or July to purchase the <br /> pagers. <br />
