Police Chief - No report <br /> 6.7 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson felt he needed more <br /> direction regarding the dike matter between Mr. Brevig and Mr. Vail. He <br /> was told to make the necessary papers available to both attorneys, and in <br /> essence, cooperate with both parties. (LARRY IRSFELD ARRIVED AT 8:55 PM) . <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that the matter <br /> of the Firemen's Relief Association (File #1500-224) be <br /> investigated by the City Attorney for additional informa- <br /> tion and opinion from the Attorney General's office. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mr. Johnson stated that Mr. Robert Barth, Police Chief, has concurred with <br /> not having arresting officers present at pretrials. <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto presented his monthly report. Mr. Kuusisto was instructed to <br /> prepare a written request to Charles E. Burrill for an agreement regard- <br /> ing the proposed blacktopping between the railroad tracks and T.H. 61 in <br /> Hugo. There are about nine (9) locations. Mayor LaValle stated that Rice <br /> Creek and the DNR has already granted a permit to the White Bear Rod and Gun <br /> Club to fill some land on their property. Mr. Kuusisto stated that the club <br /> has agreed to supply him with preliminary plans and borings. <br /> 6.9 Clerk <br /> Vern Peloquin has supplied the city with a $2,500 letter of credit to in- <br /> sure blacktopping of a road by Shepherd of the Fields Church. Mr. Peloquin <br /> feels that the church should bear 50% of the liability and match his letter <br /> of credit. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to accept the <br /> letter of credit from Vern Peloquin in the amount of <br /> $2500, and that the City obtain the other $2500 letter of <br /> credit from the Shepherd of the Fields Church. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to adopt <br /> ORDINANCE 149, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 320 OF THE <br /> HUGO CITY CODE, ENTITLED "ZONING" TO PROVIDE REGULATION <br />
