MARCH 20, 1978 <br /> 91 <br /> LaValle - the Road Committee has been working on the establishment of <br /> the city's own road department. The initial cost would be <br /> quite high to start up such an operation. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to appoint <br /> Mrs. Irene Leroux to the Road Committee. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to appoint Mr. <br /> Tom Pogreba to the Road Committee. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Marvin Christianson <br /> 6178 Oneka Lake Blvd - all land owners cannot sell the same amount of land. <br /> Mrs. Laurene Meyer <br /> 6358 145th St No - wanted to know what account light repair and water <br /> tower work was paid from. <br /> LaValle - the city has two accounts and this work is paid for from the <br /> utility account. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, to close the <br /> public hearing at 9:06 PM. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Vail, that the City of <br /> Hugo adopt Ordinance For Chapter 100, Hugo City Code, <br /> A PROPOSED ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ALL RURAL TAXING DISTRICTS <br /> WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA. <br /> It was determined that more information is needed before this proposed <br /> ordinance could be adopted. <br /> VOTING FOR: Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: LaValle, Spitzer, and Schletty <br /> MOTION FAILED <br /> RECESSED 9:20 PM - RECONVENED 9:38 PM <br /> Councilman Schletty left the meeting at this time. <br /> Mayor LaValle stated that before the City Council considering adopting <br /> any modification of the proposed ordinance, advanced notice would be <br /> published in the paper. He also asked that any comments or suggestions, <br /> be sent to City Hall. <br />
