2(S2 DECEMBER 4, 1978 <br />MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the City of <br />Hugo hire Marie Connors at $3.50/hour, starting December 5, <br />1978. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by LaValle, to contract <br />with Synagraphics, Minneapolis, to microfilm the old record <br />books, at a cost not to exceed $25.00. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />A letter was received from Jim Smith requesting permission for his 4H Club <br />to plant seedling trees at the city's park on Sunset Lake. <br />MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to write a letter <br />to Jim Smith telling him that the city agrees with the re- <br />quest to plant seedling trees on the city's land on Sunset <br />Lake, and grants them permission to go ahead with the project. <br />A plan should be submitted indicating type of plan to be <br />used (where placed on land). Mr. Martin Ziebell, ASCS office, <br />would be helpful in developing a program for them. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />Par. Smith is also to investigate incorporating the program in other areas of <br />the city. <br />Mr. Gerald Dabe requested that the newly constructed road to his land be <br />taken over for city maintenance. <br />MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the City will <br />not accept his road for snow removal because of the status <br />of his subdivision and easement. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />6.4_ Building Inspector <br />The city has received a complaint in regards to a house being constructed <br />too close to a body of water on Lot 7, Evergreen 2. The issue was dis- <br />cussed, and it was determined that input was needed from the City Engineer <br />and City Attorney. <br />MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the high <br />water table be determined by the City Engineer. The City <br />Attorney is to submit a written report on Subdivision G. <br />Zoning Ordinance, as it pertains to the house built by <br />Richard Vail at 14451 Homestead Avenue. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the City <br />Clerk write a letter to Richard Vail, informing him that <br />a complaint has been raised for the sewer system at <br />14451 Homestead Avenue. The matter is under investigation <br />by the City Engineer and City Attorney, and they have <br />been requested to render certain opinions. Mr. Vail is to <br />proceed cautionously in the handling of the occupancy of <br />said house. <br />
