JANUARY .2, 1979 <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Vail house on Homestead Avenue was discussed. Attorney Johnson determined that <br /> according to the DNR, the house was constructed on public water. The septic system <br /> system can be moved to meet the setback requirements, and will be done according to <br /> the requirements set forth by Howard Kuusisto's office. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that the City Council concur <br /> with the recommendations for the Fire Department to appoint Ron Is— <br /> tvanovich, Fire Chief, Ken Granger, lot Assistant Chief, Joe McMahon, <br /> 2nd Assistant Chief, <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.6 Police Chief <br /> The City Clerk and Councilman Irsfeld are to report on unemployment procedures at the <br /> Council meeting of January 15s, 1979. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City Clerk be instructed <br /> to make application for Marie Connors to attend BCA school as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> NOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.7 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson was instructed to check with <br /> NSP's attorney to see if they need a permit or a bond to construct the power lines <br /> in Hugo. <br /> Mr. Johnson has talked with Mr. Charles Weber's attorney in regarding to the proposed <br /> subdivision of Gerald Dabs. They allege that the road should be private, that the <br /> road has not been built on the easement, and the road splits the Weber land. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that the City Attorney write <br /> a letter to the Planning Commission for their meeting of January 10, <br /> 1979, explaining the information and facts, and the alleged allega— <br /> tions, as he has them, relating to the Gerald Dabe proposed subdivision <br /> and road. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> .8 Engineer — No report <br /> 6.9 Clerk <br /> The City has received two letters requesting safety signs be installed on Oneka <br /> Lake Blvd., and 157th Street. <br />
