The required public hearing was held, and <br /> local residents voiced their opposition to the business because <br /> of possible damage to the roads, and the local residential area. <br /> The land is not conducive to onsite septic systems for home sites, <br /> and some Council members felt that the business would be a good <br /> use of the 105 acres. LaValle stated that he would like to see <br /> more information regarding this request. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to table <br /> the request of Richard Genrich, and direct the <br /> City Clerk to contact Mr. Genrich requesting that <br /> he appear before the City Council at his earliest <br /> convenience. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 Reports of Officers & Committees <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the <br /> Sign Ordinance, as amended, be considered for adop- <br /> tion on the meeting of March 19, 1979. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission - No discussion <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No discussion <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever presented his monthly report. He stated that he had <br /> inspected Schmidty's 61 Club, and the exit door has been installed <br /> as requested. The Bogart property was also inspected, and clean-up <br /> procedures have been initiated. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief <br /> Ron Istvanovich, Fire Chief, was present, and stated that the <br /> grass-fire truck needed to be replaced. A definite cost figure <br /> was not submitted. LaValle stated that the Fire Chief should <br /> look at what other capital expenditures could be expected by the <br /> department to generate this information. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, authorizing <br /> the Fire Chief to purchase a light water inductor <br /> for a price not to exceed 4200.00. <br />
