OCTOBER 1 , 1979 137 <br /> Peloquin - Letter of Credit for Freeland in Industrial Park - Continued <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, that the Letter of Credit from <br /> Vern Peloquin to guarantee the interim construction of Freeland Avenue <br /> be reduced from $5,000.00 to $1 ,000.00 and be released, if and when <br /> financial guarantees for the total Peloquin Park subdivision are <br /> instituted. In the event that the subdivision is not instituted before <br /> July 1 , 1980, then the Letter of Credit be released upon satisfactory <br /> performance of the present road. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Peloquin stated that several occupants in the Industrial Park had expressed interest <br /> in obtaining street lights on Highway 61 and 152nd Street and across from Miscellaneous <br /> Metals. Councilman Schletty will contact NSP to obtain a cost estimate. <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission <br /> McAllister stated that he will draw up guidelines regarding the construction of <br /> Pole Barns in the City (Farm Site Plan or Special Use Permit) . McAllister and <br /> Council reviewed the discussions with Carl Dale. <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No discussion <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector - Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the Letter of Credit <br /> for Mr. Jesson be released at the time the Building Permit is issued. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief - No discussion <br /> 6.6 Police Chief - Acting Police Chief Fure submitted his monthly report. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the Mayor be authorized <br /> to employ a licensed Police Officer on a temporary basis to alleviate <br /> the existing shortage of Policemen in the City. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. The Bridge Replacement Program is <br /> nearing completion. Northwestern Bell has installed telephone cable along County <br /> Road 8A right where the city was to install a watermain. Kuusisto will contact <br /> Mr. Bob Parent at Washington County regarding this matter. <br />
