page 121 <br /> November 3, 1980 <br /> 5.3 Tom Carlson - Opinion on Office in RRII zone <br /> Mr. Carlson builds bird feeders at a warehouse located on Highway 61 . He is <br /> contemplating the purchase of land in the RRII zone, and was inquiring if he <br /> could locate an office in his future residence. The house would also serve <br /> as a shipping point for his product, with pickup by UPS. There would be no <br /> storage and no manufacturing done on the premises. It was determined that this <br /> operation would be a permitted use (home occupation) in any zone within Hugo. <br /> 5.4 Dave Mattson - Site Plan Approval and Variance <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to approve the Site Plan <br /> for Dave Mattson, 17717 Henna Avenue, to construct a 30 x 40 pole <br /> barn to be used for personal use. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to grant a Variance to <br /> Dave Mattson, 17717 Henna Avenue, to construct a 30 x 40 pole barn <br /> closer to the road than the principal building. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.5 George Indykiewicz - Mining Permit <br /> Mr. Kuusisto had not made a current inspection of the mining area. It was noted <br /> that Mr. Indykiewicz's bond expreis July 1 , 1981 , and the permit would expire <br /> November 1 , 1981 . Mayor LaValle felt that the permit and bond should run <br /> concurrently. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to grant a temporary ex- <br /> tension of Brighton Excavating's Mining Permit until November 18, <br /> 1980. Mr. Indykiewicz to be notified that his bond should be brought <br /> into conformity with expiration date of Mining Permit (11/1/80) . Mr. <br /> Kuusisto to make an inspection and report at the meeting of 11/17/80. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6. 1 Ordinance Committee - No report <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission - No report <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No report <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. There was no further discussion. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief - No report <br /> 6.6 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. Attorney Johnson stated that there <br /> has been a meeting scheduled with Metro Council, 11/10/80, at 2:00 PM, for <br /> review of Hugo's Systems Statement. Johnson will contact Washington County <br /> Planner, Robert Lockyear, informing him of the meeting. <br />
