March 2, 1981 <br /> 5.5 Herbert Simpson - Septic System <br /> Attorney Johnson has been contacted by Both Mr. & Mrs. Simpson, and was informed <br /> that neither of them would be able to attend the meeting. Simpson stated that <br /> he has been in contact with a contractor, and that he will correct the problem <br /> when the weather permits. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that another registered letter <br /> be sent to Herbert Simpson informing him to submit a'signed contract <br /> stating the nature of the repairs needed and the date such repairs <br /> will be completed. Letter to include the phone numbers of Peter <br /> Kluegel and Tom Crever so that he can contact them for further infor- <br /> mation. Mr. Simpson to appear at the Council meeting of March 16, <br /> 1981 , at 7:15 PM, with his plans. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission <br /> Discussed the possible application of Walter Otto to construct a 4,860 sq ft pole <br /> barn to be used rental purposes. Mr. Otto owns 5 acres in the AG zone. LaValle <br /> stated that ordinance does not allow for this type of use, and would be considered <br /> as intensification of a non-conforming use. <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, to hire Mr. Robert Burkard as <br /> Water Superintendent, effective March 2, 1981 , at $300.00/month. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City Clerk meet <br /> with the Water Superintendent and present their proposal to Councilman <br /> Irsfeld. Mr. Irsfeld is authorized to order the appropriate forms. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. The city received a request from Mr. <br /> Scott Freeman regarding the possibility of filling Lot 2, Sunset Park subdivision. <br /> Apparently, there is an easement that is not included on the survey. The clerk's <br /> office was directed to send a letter to Washington County, Register of Deeds, re- <br /> questing a copy of the easement that appears in Book 202 of Deeds, page 558. A <br /> copy of that easement to be forwarded to Tom Crever, and a copy to be attached <br /> to the plat book, Sunset Park. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief <br /> Ron Istvanovich, Fire Chief, was present, and stated that 10 men are interested <br /> in attending the State Fire School (May 29, 30, 31 ) . <br />
