E"1 ,/1 <br /> c <br /> March 2, 1981 <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the Fire Chief be authorized <br /> to sbumit the names of 10 individuals to attend the State Fire School, <br /> in the amount of approximately $550.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Crystals will be needed for handhelds, and two cost estimates have been received <br /> (approximate) $140.00 and $323.00. These crystals will not be required until <br /> later this year. <br /> The state fire convention will be held in Alexandria this June, and three men have <br /> expressed interest. The approximate cost is $635.00, and will again be discussed <br /> the 1st meeting in April. <br /> The Council informed the chief the city has no problem with a waterbill fight <br /> instead of the tug-of-way (Good Neighbor Days) . <br /> 6.6 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson was directed to set up <br /> another meeting with Metro Council to try and finalize the city's System Statement. <br /> Attorney Johnson was directed to submit the Comprehensive Plan to Robert Lockyear <br /> for printing of 50 copies, less drawings, appendixes, and capital improvement <br /> program. These will be inserted as they are ready. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City Attorney <br /> be directed to forward the proposed draft of the Comprehensive Plan <br /> to the Washington County Planner, requesting him to print 50 copies of <br /> the text. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, 'McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to set a Special Meeting <br /> of the Hugo City Council, in conjunction with the Planning Commission, <br /> for March 9, 1981 , at 7:00 PM for further review of the Comprehensive <br /> Plan; specifically, the capital improvement program. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Council discussed the city's involvement with the proposed Lion's Club <br /> pavillion. Because of possible liability, McAllister will convey to the club <br /> that they will purchase their own lumber to eliminate any liability of the city. <br /> 6.7 Engineer ` <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Councilman Schletty discussed the re- <br /> quest of Wally Gleason to grade roads during the summer months on some type of a <br /> schedule to save money. LaValle had no objection to Schletty reviewing the re- <br /> quest and see what could be done. LaValle suggested that the county should <br /> have some plan as to what they are maintaining and when. <br />
