May 4, 1981 <br /> MOTION: Ifsfeld made motion, seconded by McAllister, that the City Attorney be <br /> directed to take whatever steps necessary to call on the $+,000 bond <br /> issued by State Surety Company for the Armon System of Minnesota, Inc. , <br /> unless the renewal is received by the clerk's office by the morning <br /> of May 5, 1981 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllistep, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission <br /> The Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br /> at their meeting of April 22, 1981 . The Clerk stated that she will contact Mr. <br /> Lockyear to find out if he will be in attendance at the public hearing to be held <br /> May 12, 1981 , at 7:00 PM. He is to provide enlarged maps - Exhibits A, B, and F. <br /> The change in the State Statute regarding the requirement for division of land <br /> for larger lot sizes was discussed. This change would give the city authority <br /> to regulate Land Divisions. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City}.Attorney be <br /> directed to draft a letter to the Planning Commission relating to the <br /> change in the State Statute as it affects the city's ordinance regarding <br /> large subdivisions. The Planning Commission is requested to submit <br /> their report to the Council for the meeting of June 15, 1981 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No discussion <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. Crever had received perc tests for the <br /> John Hunter property lying along Keystone Avenue. The tests indicate that the <br /> land tested was not suitable for onsite septic systems. Mr. Crever stated that he <br /> will contact Mr. Hunter regarding this matter. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief - No discussion <br /> 6.7 Engineer <br /> Mr.. Kuusisto and Councilman Schletty inspected the Brevig dike, and Kuusisto stated <br /> that the necessary steps are being taken to satisfy Mr. Brevig. Attorney Johnson <br /> will draft a release form to be signed by Mr. Brevig. <br /> The easements for the Bald Eagle Industrial Park project are in the process of being <br /> completed. There will be the necessity of an extension of city sewer in the park, <br /> but that project will be handled separately. <br />
