May 4, 1981 <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City Engineer advertise <br /> for bids for improvements in the Bald Eagle Industrial Park Street and <br /> Storm Sewers, for opening at the City Council meeting of June 1 , 1981 , <br /> at 8:30 PM. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Engineer Kuusisto was directed to contact Mr. Polta regarding the monitoring wells <br /> placed on the Rehbein property. <br /> 5.7 Fred Benson - Land Division <br /> Mr. Donald Kelly, attorney for Fred Benson, was present and further discussed the <br /> various transactions that .have taken place with original 217 acres of the Benson <br /> Kennel. The proposed 6 - 10 acre lots lying along County Road 8A were never officially <br /> approved by the City of Hugo. There is a 2.5 acre parcel, Parcel G, indicated on <br /> the proposed division. This lot would not conform with the city's Zoning.Ordinance, <br /> and Mr. Kelly requested that the 2.5 acres be included in Parcel F (12.5 acre lot) . <br /> Attorney Johnson and Mr. Kelly reviewed in detail all contracts between Benson and <br /> other related parties, to verify that Mr. Benson has authority to divide the land.. <br /> Attorney Johnson was satisfied that this requirement can be met. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by McAllister, to grant Land Division approval <br /> to Fred Benson for Lots A, B, C, D, and E, as indicated on the Certificate <br /> of Survey.. Lot F to become a total of 12.5 acres by way of combining <br /> Parcels F and G into one parcel. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Let the record show that Mr. Benson will submit a new survey indicating Parcel F <br /> as a 12.5 acre lot. <br /> Councilman Irsfeld suggested that when Jeffrey Barbour's Special Use Permit is re- <br /> viewed, some strong consideration be given to the exact number of acres he has <br /> title to. <br /> 6.6 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. After discussion with the Washington County <br /> Attorney, Mr. Kelly agreed that certain items were incorrect in the submitted sheriff's <br /> contract and that a new copy will be submitted. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by McAllister, to extend the meeting passed <br /> 11 :00 PM. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> SOLID WASTE MORATORIUM - Moratorium on land transactions will not apply until actual <br /> sites are proposed by Washington County to Metro (473.803, Subd. la) . <br /> SLUDGE ASH MORATORIUM - would not apply until sites are ultimately condensed to 3 <br /> locations (473.153, Subd. 3) <br />
