The proposed scope of work at Park Place includes the replacement of the original boilers and <br />water heaters (49 years old) with energy efficient models, replacement of the windows, kitchen <br />cabinets, bathroom vanities, sinks, faucets, and fans. The work is scheduled to take place in <br />early 2014 and has a 6 month completion timeframe. This project will assist in the preservation <br />of the existing affordable housing units. The requested CDBG funds represent approximately <br />33% of the total project cost. <br />This project was identified as a pipeline project for 2014 due to the important preservation <br />component and because Washington County HRA chose to defer their funding award to 2014 in <br />order to allow the Mahtomedi project to be fully funded. The Park Place project timeline also <br />aligned with 2014 cycle and thus it was recommended to be a pipeline project for 2014 CDBG <br />funds. <br />CDBG funds in the amount of $180,075. 00 are recommended to assist with this project..
