Motion Carried. <br />Clarke made a motion, Pederson seconded directing staff to select a green roof and blue <br />support posts for the picnic shelter. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />IV. Rice Lake Park — Master Plan (Laurie McRostie) <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree and Consultant Laurie McRostie provided a brief <br />overview of the work that Laurie would be doing. Staff also asked for two volunteers to <br />serve on a committee for the project. Park Commissioners Pete Pederson and Steven <br />Lacher were selected. <br />V. Beaver Ponds South — Park Development/Parking Lot <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree informed the Park Commission of the direction from <br />Council to sign the north side of Flay Rd. N. no parking and to install a parking lot in <br />Beaver Ponds Park. Developer Len Pratt was in attendance and informed the Park <br />Commission that he would design a parking lot to meet their criteria. He will also install the <br />gravel base and prepare it for paving. <br />Pederson made a motion, Keithahn seconded, directing staff to work with the developer <br />and his engineer to design a parking lot that would maximize the space available. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />VI. Victor Gardens 2nd HOA Pool and Community Room <br />Developer Len Pratt provided the Park Commission with an overview of Victor Gardens <br />and showed them a site plan which included the pool. The pool and community <br />room/changing room will be maintained and operated by the HOA and will only be <br />available to Victor Gardens residents. <br />VII. Victor Gardens — 4th Addition <br />Developer Len Pratt provided a Concept Plan to the Parks Commission that showed the <br />proposed plat for Victor Gardens 4th Addition. He explained the use/transition of <br />commercial to multi -family. <br />May made a motion, Bailly seconded, directing staff to accept park dedication fees in lieu <br />of land for Victor Gardens 4th Addition. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />VIII. Waters Edge South <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree and City Administrator Mike Ericson provided an <br />overview of the Waters Edge South project as well as the progress on the design of the <br />school that included additional space for City recreation activities. Staff expressed the <br />need to take park dedication fees in lieu of land for this project and to dedicate those funds <br />for the additional room to be constructed on the new school. Staff also informed the Park <br />Commission that because of its close proximity to the new school this development would <br />benefit from the addition of recreational space in the new school. <br />
