Beaver Ponds Park — Landscaping Plan <br />Public Works Director Petree provided an overview of the current Beaver Ponds Park <br />Landscaping Plan and explained to the Park Commission that with the additional land <br />dedicated from the Beaver Ponds South Development, their is a strong need to update the <br />existing landscaping plan to include the additional 2.1 acres of land that has been <br />dedicated. <br />Weidt made a motion, Lacher seconded, to contract with Landscape Architect Laurie <br />McRostie to update the Beaver Ponds Park Landscaping Plan. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />V. Eagle Scout Projects <br />Park Commission Chair Cheesebrow and Public Works Director Petree informed the Park <br />Commission that they had been contacted by Boy Scout Leader Dave Yost. Mr. Yost is <br />interested in any activities that could be done as an Eagle Scout project. The Park <br />Commission offered the following suggestions: Wood duck houses and cross country ski <br />rack at the 100 acre Creekview park, landscaping of Beaver Ponds and Oneka Lake <br />Parks, stenciling of storm drains to meet the City's requirements for the Storm Water <br />Pollution Prevention Plan and drafting a park sign specification and installing new signs. <br />All of these ideas will be shared with Mr. Yost and staff will report back to the Park <br />Commission if the boy scouts are interested in completing any of these projects. <br />VI. Rice Lake Park & Oneka Lake Park Updates <br />Public Works Director Petree provided a status update on the construction of Oneka Lake <br />Park and the master planning for the Rice Lake Park. Public Works Director Petree <br />informed the Park Commission that by the next meeting staff will have started construction <br />on the Oneka Lake Park and staff will provide the Park Commission with a draft of the <br />master plan for the Rice Lake Park. Park Commissioners Pederson and Lacher are <br />serving on the Rice Lake Park design team and will be meeting next week to discuss the <br />concept plan. <br />VII. Diamond Point West 3 r Addition <br />Public Works Director Petree provide the Park Commission with a report drafted by <br />Consulting Planner Kendra Lindahl that explained the options that the Park Commission <br />has for either accepting land or dedication fees for Diamond Point West 3rd Addition. <br />Pederson made a motion, Weidt seconded, to accept park fees in lieu of land for Diamond <br />Point West 3rd Addition. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />VIII. Updates <br />A. Planning Commission: Kelly Bailly informed the Park Commission of all of the projects coming <br />up this year. <br />B. City Council: None <br />C. Kitty Cheesebrow: 1) Informed Park Commission members that she would be absent from the <br />
