Eaale Scout Presentation <br />Kevin Fox approached the Commission with request to build a purple martin bird house <br />and two bluebird houses to be housed in Oneka Park. He hopes the project will help <br />educate the community on Purple Martins and provide them with a place to thrive. <br />Bruce Bernin will be assisting with this project. <br />Roger Clarke made a motion, Gabrielli seconded to endorse the construction of the <br />three bird houses and sponsor the $940.00 in funding. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Dillon Wogensen approached the Commission with request to build wood duck houses <br />and install them in the Clearwater Creek Preserve. The houses will assist in the <br />protection of the species. <br />Roger Clarke made a motion, Strub seconded to approve the purposed project and <br />$375.00 funding with the condition of a consult with City Council Member Chuck Haas to <br />help determine housing locations. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />IV. Continued Discussion on Park Rules/Ordinances <br />Scott Anderson Public Works Director provided copies of a memorandum on park <br />rules/signs. This listed out recommendations on 5 priority rules. <br />1. No motorized vehicles allowed <br />2. Alcohol allowed by permit only <br />3. No littering <br />4. Dogs must be on a leash at all times <br />5. Use of picnic facilities is first-come, first-served <br />These rules are to be posted in active neighborhood parks. Posting rules in other parks <br />will be discussed at a later date. <br />Dan Gabrielli made a motion, Parker seconded to recommend proceeding with signs as <br />discussed. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />V. Update on Huntinq (Review of City Council Discussion) <br />Roger Clarke updated the commission on the City Council meeting that was held <br />September 8, 2009. The Council had approved the resolution for banning discharge of <br />fire arms on Bald Eagle Lake. <br />
